The Bottlenecks Program has developed a state-of-the-art Data System built using open-source software and Digital Public Goods. Our cloud infrastructure is provided with support from UBC & the Digital Research Alliance of Canada.
We currently offer three interactive data dashboards that provide insights into the Bottlenecks to Survival project:
The Adult PIT Returns dashboard displays near real-time data on PIT-tagged adult salmon as they return to their natal systems.
The Nanaimo River Chinook dashboard supports preliminary assessments of PIT-tag deployments in the Nanaimo River, tracking Chinook salmon across multiple life stages.
The Orphan PIT Tag Detection dashboard was designed for partner organizations and researchers, helping track PIT tags that were not deployed by the Bottlenecks to Survival project.
You can explore all of our public dashboards by clicking below!
Additionally, you can explore the Southern BC Microtroll Samples | Strait of Georgia Data Centre Map Catalogue. This catalogue presents catch-per-unit-effort and genetic stock composition data for Chinook and Coho salmon captured through microtrolling as part of the Bottlenecks to Survival Program.
